What exactly is "poké" /POE-kay/?

The Hawaiian word "poké" means "to slice or cut crosswise into pieces."

Traditionally, poké is found as diced raw fish with ingredients such as soy sauce, green onions and sesame oil in native Hawaiian cuisine.
